Halogen Leadership Conference

1

On Monday, 24th March, Amie Morton, Principal’s Representative for Year 12, had the privilege of attending the Halogen Leadership Conference at ICC Sydney as part of the NSW School of Languages’ Language Ambassadors team. The event featured four inspiring speakers who shared their insights on leadership and personal growth.

NSW Premier Chris Minns encouraged students to focus on what truly matters to them. Catherine Laga’aia, soon to star as Moana in the 2026 live action Disney film, highlighted the importance of stepping outside our comfort zones. The most successful Australian Olympian Emma McKeon shared her top lessons in perseverance, reminding us that failure and success go hand in hand. Finally, Australian of the Year, founder of Knia maps and Bheem health and leukemia survivor Nikhil Autar explained how building habits and understanding challenges can drive success.

This was an incredible experience to network with fellow leaders across all of NSW, and the wonderful insights obtained on the day will certainly be integrated into KHS through our own leadership prospects!
