This term, Year 11 Textiles and Design students Luci Brunker and Amie Morton were lucky to complete the High School Masterclass Program from National Fashion College, Sydney.
This wonderful opportunity was spread across five weeks and consisted of four online zoom classes with Caytlan Koljndrekaj, who is a Fashion Photographer and Founder and Director of Rebel Rebel Talent Management.
Throughout each of these classes, Luci and Amie were educated on the fashion industry, fashion communications, creative direction and retail management. Each of these categories provided valuable insights on the countless career opportunities in the fashion industry, and insightful knowledge and connection to help platform an impact in the fashion world.
The fifth and final exciting week involved a Styling Workshop at the NFC campus with Emma Read, the National Stylist for Tiffany & Co. in Australia and New Zealand. During this Styling Workshop, Luci and Amie learnt about talent and celebrity photoshoot styling, and then got to participate in a Street-Style Photo Shoot with Industry leading Fashion Photographer Wesley Tan. In this experience, they got to discover both the behind the scenes moodboarding that goes into photoshoots for global companies and celebrities, the career opportunities in relation to styling and photography, and experience the role of modelling in an on-site photo shoot as well. Here are some candid shots taken by Amie and Luci on the day.
