The Year 9 and 10 elective PASS students embarked on their annual ski trip. We left school on a Sunday afternoon, setting off with excitement for their accommodation at The Station, nestled in the heart of the snowy mountains amongst the Kangaroos. After a smooth journey, students arrived to a warm welcome and settled in, enjoying delicious buffet dinners and breakfasts throughout the stay.
On Monday morning, students were greeted by the excitement of real snowfall, transforming the mountain into a winter wonderland. The snowfall ensured that the slopes and lifts were ready for action on day two, much to the students' delight. Day one saw everyone participating in compulsory ski and snowboarding lessons, with students learning essential skills and safety tips under the guidance of professional instructors.
With perfect conditions on day two, students took full advantage of the open slopes, with many enjoying their first real alpine experience. Throughout the trip, all students were well-behaved and showed a strong sense of teamwork and enthusiasm, relishing the opportunity to explore the beautiful alpine environment.
The ski trip proved to be a valuable experience both in physical education and personal growth, with students returning home on a high, eagerly looking forward to the next adventure.
