Year 8 Engineering Incursion

Yr 8 participated this week in a Engineering day. The day started with a display of Engineering theory by Mr Punzet to enable the students to complete their tasks.

First challenge was to complete the tallest free-standing tower made from lollies and skewers. After recess the students had to build a bridge made from paper and masking tape to span 500mm and hold a 400g can.

At the completion of the day the year group witnessed the strongest bridge be loaded up until collapsing. Awards were handed out for the most aesthetic bridge as well.
