Are you in Year 10 and considering applying for an EVET course as part of your Stage 6 studies?
EVET courses are delivered by a range of Registered Training Organisations (RTO) including TAFE, Taronga Zoo, Whitehouse Institute of Design and the Academy of Interactive Entertainment, just to name a few, and allow students to work towards a dual qualification when they graduate high school. Students who participate in the EVET program graduate with the HSC Qualification and a Certificate qualification on the EVET course they complete.
An EVET course can provide insight into an industry of interest for the student and a potential head start into a career in that field.
An important factor to consider when thinking about an EVET course is that you will need to juggle school and an external qualification at the same time. You will need to remain up to date with your classwork and assessments at school and in the EVET course.
Applications for EVET courses will open 29th July and students will be invited to attend information sessions early in Term 3.
