Leadership By The Bay

LBTB

On Tuesday, May 21st, ten students from Year 11 and 12 participated in the annual 'Leadership By The Bay' seminar and workshop, which was organised and hosted by Woolooware High School.  Our Kirrawee students had the delightful opportunity to collaborate with neighboring primary schools on their six-month SRC projects,  sharing their insights on the significance of school leadership and communication to foster meaningful change in schools.

Mark Speakman, Member of Parliament for Cronulla, and Emma Tonegato, NRL Women's League and Olympic Gold Medalist, also joined us for the event and emphasised the vital role that young people play in our society.  We were also excited to hear from our very own Deputy Principal, Ms Moon, who gave a speech about the importance of recognising when change is needed and using student voices to communicate effectively with staff, students, and communities to make that change happen.

Our Kirrawee High School students will continue to work closely with our neighbouring primary schools, providing ongoing support as they embark on this journey for change in their schools. We are so excited to see how they plan to execute their great ideas.
