Year 10 Elective PASS students had the privilege of honing their coaching skills learnt during the term by coaching primary school students from our local feeder school Gymea Bay Public.
In groups, students had to prepare 2 coaching sessions for skills they wanted to develop. They had to ensure they had thorough knowledge of the skills and technique for their activity and were then assessed on their ability to coach these skills to the students, paying particular attention to their ability to provide clear instructions, use of voice and type of feedback used to enhance their session.
We thank Gymea Bay Public School staff and students for allowing our elective PASS students to have this valuable learning experience and we look forward to continuing this relationship with our local feeder schools in the future.
