Senior Textiles and Design students visit Ultimo Sydney Tafe Fashion and Technology Exhibition

Today, our senior textiles students had the exciting opportunity to visit the Fashion and Textiles department at Ultimo Sydney Tafe.

This excursion offered students a valuable glimpse into the world of tertiary education. Students explored cutting edge exhibitions showcasing innovative garment construction, sustainable fashion practices and emerging textile technologies. They had the chance to speak with Tafe senior lecturers to gain insight into study pathways, career opportunities, and the diverse creative industries connected to design.

The hands-on nature of the exhibition sparked inspiration and broadened our students understanding of how their classroom learning connects with real-world applications. Senior staff led students through a number of workshops where they learnt about draping techniques and collaging for design.

It was an informative and motivating day, and we thank Sydney Tafe for hosting such a dynamic experience for our future designers and creators!
