15 Jun 2025

On Sunday 15th June, four horn players from the Kirrawee High School Jazz Orchestra had the extraordinary opportunity to perform in The Bond Show starring the iconic Paulini, held at The Pavilion. Stepping into the world of glamour, sophistication, and timeless Bond themes, our talented students rose to the occasion with style, professionalism, and musical excellence.
Arriving well ahead of their scheduled call time, the students impressed organisers and industry professionals alike with their preparation, focus, and maturity. Sharing the stage with seasoned musicians from the professional “Home” players, the William Pearce, Lola Faass, Joshua Pearce and Elise Mead embraced the experience with enthusiasm and humility, gaining valuable insight into the expectations and rewards of working in a professional music environment.
The performance itself was a triumph. With tight rhythms, smooth brass lines, and confident solos, the orchestra seamlessly supported the electrifying vocal performance of Paulini and the Martini’s, adding depth and energy to the iconic soundtrack of 007.
Their exceptional conduct, both on and off stage, was a testament not only to their dedication as musicians but also to the values of the Kirrawee High community. These students were a credit to the school, representing it with distinction and reminding us all of the power of music to connect, inspire, and elevate.
Congratulations to Will, Lola, Josh and Elise on a standout performance and an unforgettable experience!
