Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme Bronze Level Adventurous Journey Exploration 2023

Mid Term 3, Mr Hunt, Mr Short and Ms Thomson ventured south of the shire to support the year 9 Bronze award students in completing their exploration.

Four days and three nights of fun, walking in the Shoalhaven, Illawarra and Southern Royal National Park found us summitting mountains for the supreme views, walking up hill to find stunning waterfalls and taking in the beauty that is the coastline from Kiama through Bombo to Era Beach.

We lucked in with the weather, even when the storm came barreling in, the bus was reached just in time! A massive thanks to Mr Hunt and Mr Short for giving up their time to support the students and the parents for supporting their children to try something new (in some cases) and well done to the students who were a great bunch of kids to take out on an adventure.
