Debating is up and running at KHS for 2025 with our enthusiastic debaters entered into two competitions. The Premier’s Debating Competition (run by The Arts Unit) and the Sutherland Shire Debating Competition.
In the Premier's Debating Competition both year 11/12 teams are through to round 3 debating admirably on topics related to Education and Politics. The Year 7/8 and 9/10 competitions start Term 2 debating selected schools within zones for 3 rounds then moving onto knockout finals if successful.
KHS has entered 5 Junior and 5 Senior Teams in the Sutherland Shire Debating Competition, a knockout competition through to semi-finals with a grand final to be held at Southerland Council Chambers in October.
We are so proud of all the debaters efforts and the way they consistently strive to enrich their own learning and build their confidence through the debating program.
