P&C and SEC present the Reboot Market Stall

1

We are excited to announce our upcoming Reboot Reuse Carpark Market, organized by the Student Environment Team, and the KHS P&C.

Our primary goal is to make Kirrawee High School a more eco-friendly place, and this initiative is another step towards achieving that.

The Reboot, Reuse, Recycle Carpark Market will be held in the school carpark Sunday 23 July. The purpose of this event is to promote the reuse of items that are no longer being used. We all have things at home that we think about donating or selling, but finding the time to do so can be challenging.

That's where we come in! Simply bring your unwanted items to the school reception by the end of term 2 and we will take care of the rest. Think of it as a real-life "Toy Story 2" where items find new homes instead of lying around.

In the past, we have had tremendous success with items such as Lego sets, wetsuits and snow gear that no longer fit, beloved books from primary school that have been outgrown, and lockdown puzzles that will never be completed again. These items have found new ow ners and brought joy to others.

You have the option to donate your items, which we will rehome for free with our local primary school kids, or sell on for a reduced price. All proceeds from the sale of donations will go to Taronga Conservation.  You can sell your own  items at a Reboot stall. If you have a collection of items that you'd like to sell, you can rent a 'Car Reboot' space and create your own stall.

For details/booking for the Car Reboot space please use the link below.   The $5 stall fee will to the P&C.

Waste management is one of the biggest challenges we face in creating a more sustainable society. The best way to tackle this issue is by consuming less and reusing more. Our Reboot, Reuse, Recycle Market day is our way of encouraging everyone to adopt a mindset of reuse rather than buying new products.

We extend an invitation to everyone in the local area to join us at our Reboot Reuse Recycles market day. Not only will you have the opportunity to find great bargains, but, more importantly, you will be giving a new home to products that might otherwise end up in landfill.
