Year 11 TexStyle Excursion

Year 11 Textiles and Design students were lucky to attend a full day excursion to Gallery 76 in West Concord for the annual TexStyle exhibition of exemplary HSC work. Kirrawee High School was lucky to have one of our 2022 HSC students, Demi Colburt, chosen for this prestigious exhibition! Congratulations to Demi on her hard work, creative techniques and project management skills! Students were guided through the process on how to produce the Portfolio of supporting documentation in a teacher led seminar.

We then participated in a hand embroidery workshop, tools seminar and design activity run by the volunteers of the NSW Embroiderers Guild. Several teachers from the guild commented on both the beautiful behaviour and the design talent that our KHS students exhibited! Proud teacher moment….

Hopefully this exhibition has provided some inspiration for our students moving forward towards their HSC major works in Textiles and Design.
