Year 12 Hospitality ventured to the city to complete nationally recognised certificates in Prepare and serve Espresso Coffee and Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety. Not only was the course rewarding and lots of fun, students have developed workplace skills which can assist them to gain employment now and in the future.
VET Hospitality is a practical subject which combines work-ready skills with the latest industry knowledge. The course provides a fast, cost-effective pathway to employment, giving students first-hand experience and confidence to navigate a rapidly changing environment. For many students Hospitality will become part of their HSC and contribute to their ATAR.
Congratulations to all participating students. Looking forward to seeing these skills in Café de Kirra.
