10 May 2023

The school athletics carnival is an important event in the school calendar. It is a day of fun and competition, where students compete against each other in a variety of athletic events including sprints, jumps, throws and long distance.
The overall atmosphere of the day was one of excitement and enthusiasm. Students were cheering on their peers and housemates, and there was a sense of healthy competition in the air. The weather was perfect, with clear blue skies and warm temperatures, which added to the positive atmosphere. Well done to year 12 cowboys and cowgirls on their excellent attendance and participation at their final school athletics carnival.
There were many winners on the day, with students excelling in different events. Congratulations to all students in WANGANUI who were the winning house on the day with 808 points.

The carnival was well-organized, with clear instructions given to students and teachers, and efficient running of the events. Thank you to Mr Williamson for his organisation of another great carnival and to all the Year 10 PASS students for their assistance at each event. We are very fortunate to have capable, respectful and reliable students to help run this major school event.
Special mention to our Age Champions, Record Breakers and all athletes that will now progress to the Sutherland Zone Athletics Carnival.
