Congratulations to Mikaela Mead of Year 11, for being honoured with the prestigious 2023 Hulme Medal! Mikaela was presented with her medal on the school assembly today.
Named after the esteemed former Sport Organiser of Kirrawee High School, Derek Hulme, the Sutherland Zone Medal is awarded to a student representing the Sutherland Zone in individual events in Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics at Sydney East Championships.
Mikaela’s achievement in receiving the Hulme Medal is a true testament to her well-rounded athletic abilities. This award recognises not only her outstanding performances but also her commitment to excellence across multiple disciplines in the Sutherland Zone.
Mikaela truly exemplified what it means to be an exceptional athlete, her dedication to representing our school and the Sutherland Zone is commendable. Her hard work, passion, and sportsmanship have set a remarkable example for her peers.
At the assembly Mikaela was also acknowledged for her recent outstanding performances in Surf Life Saving winning BRONZE in the U17 Coolangatta Gold where her fitness, skills and determination were put to the test with the Ski, Swim, Board and Run Legs.
