KHS Uniform

uniform

Kirrawee High would like your support of parent and carers with our school uniform policy.

Uniform enables:

-Support student belonging by removing the impact of brands and social division/exclusion that arise without uniform being enforced.

-Utility, comfort and suitability for all learning activities

-Maintenance of a high community standards.

-Reinforcement of an egalitarian approach that values inclusion and unity.

-Preparation of young people for work circumstances that require dress codes and high standards

-Acknowledgement that comfort, dignity, practicality and safety are satisfied when working together.

Your child is required to wear the full school uniform each day. This includes black, leather shoes and the white KHS socks.

Sport day is Tuesday for years 7-10. They are to wear their PE uniform. This may also include the track pants in the colder months. Leather shoes are still required if they have a TAS or Science lesson on a Tuesday.

In the colder months please make sure your child has the appropriate winter clothing. Jumpers and Jackets are to be KHS. White long sleeve undershirts are allowed under their KHS shirt.

Any item that protrudes out from underneath the uniform (e.g. hoodies) is not appropriate.

Thank you for your support of a policy that allows the school to focus on unity, inclusion and make learning the priority.
