Our Year 11 Hospitality students recently had the valuable opportunity to attend a Barista Course in the city, where they gained hands-on experience in the world of espresso coffee. Throughout the course, students obtained their Barista certificates by learning the fundamentals of espresso coffee making. This included understanding the equipment, mastering extraction techniques, and exploring the art of creating beautiful coffee designs.
In addition to technical skills, the course emphasised the importance of exceptional customer service, a key component in any successful café environment. Our students embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, demonstrating a keen attitude to learn and a professional approach to their new skills. Their dedication and passion for hospitality was evident as they practiced both the craft of coffee making and effective communication with customers. We are incredibly proud of their commitment and look forward to seeing these skills put into practice in our school cafe.
