School Musical Tradition at Kirrawee High School
Kirrawee High School is proud of its long-standing tradition of staging high-quality, bi-annual school musicals that celebrate student talent across the creative and performing arts. These large-scale productions bring together students from all year groups in a collaborative celebration of music, drama, dance, and technical production.
In 2025, our production of Mamma Mia! played to five sold-out audiences, showcasing the outstanding performance and production capabilities of our students. Past productions have included much-loved titles such as Into the Woods, Les Miserable, Aida, Addams Family, and Legally Blonde, each highlighting the energy, professionalism, and school-wide spirit that make our musicals so memorable.
The musical also serves as a key work placement opportunity for students undertaking the VET Entertainment Industry course, providing real-world experience in lighting, audio, stage management, and front-of-house operations. From cast to crew, every student involved gains invaluable skills in teamwork, time management, confidence, and creative problem-solving—skills that transfer across all areas of schooling and future career pathways.
Kirrawee High’s school musicals are more than just performances—they are a community celebration of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
