Texstyle 2024

Year 11 Textiles and Design students recently spent the day at The Embroiderers Guild in Concord West, for an immersion day. Students were involved in a seminar led by expert teachers on the presentation of their portfolio for their MTP for year 12.

We then moved into a learning activity where volunteer members of the embroiderers guild ran students through a design and hand embroidery workshop, concluding the day with a walk through of the Texstyle exhibition. This exhibition showcases the very best exemplary Major Textiles Projects from HSC students that studied in 2023.

The students (and teachers) were inspired by the beautiful, intricate designs displayed, which really showcased textile pieces that were awarded full marks and displayed both quality workmanship in manufacturing, along with creativity and innovation in design.
