  • Students are asked to bring the correct money when paying with cash.

Variation to fees

If a student enrols or leaves part way through a calendar year there will be a pro-rata reduction in fees or refunds. Similarly, students undertaking an accumulation pattern of studies will have their fees split over the period of accumulation.

Financial assistance

The NSW Government allocates limited funds for each school to assist families experiencing financial difficulties. The scheme is called the 'Student Assistance Scheme' and forms can be obtained from the Office or from the Head Teacher Welfare Mrs M Kenehan, or Deputy Principal Administration, Mr G Munsie.

A conversation either by phone or in person with Mr Munsie or Ms Kenehan is the best way to broach these issues and allows them to assess and discuss possible support on a case-by-case basis. We understand that every family’s circumstances will be different, as will a child’s educational needs. Understanding factors such as income levels and interruptions, size of family and enrolments in school/s, support received from other agencies, minimising financial burden at schools, special circumstances re extended family and care, allow us to establish a better understanding for assistance. Assistance may then be applied in the most helpful ways, which may include delayed or split payments, borrowing of resources/materials, provision of uniform articles, discounts, or full support for some items. All conversations will remain discreet, confidential and remain within the Senior Executive and limited Welfare Team.

Applications should be sent in a sealed envelope marked 'confidential', addressed to the Deputy Principal, Administration. They may also be handed in at the office.

Student printing

To provide access to ready printing, including colour, a user pays system operates at the school. All Students in Year 7-10 will receive a $5 credit at the start of the school year. Senior students (Year 11 and Year 12) will receive a $10 credit.

Students who exhaust their printing credit can then pay a further (minimum) $5 at the Receipting Office. The receipt needs to be taken to the Tech Lab and the student will be credited with further printing credits. The school will charge 10 cents per page for black and white, 50 cents per page for colour and 80 cents per page for A3 printing.

Students should be encouraged to consider the environment before printing. Kirrawee High School has already made a substantial shift to web-based learning, digital presentation, e-communication, and e-platforms.
