Year 7 History Excursion (Chau Chak Wing Museum) Semester 1, 2025

Friday 28 February 2025 8:00am - 3:00pm (Students will be meeting at Kirrawee High School in the canteen area at 8:00 AM and returning to the school for the end of day at 3:00 PM)

Description:  Year 7 History Fieldwork trip for the topic ‘Investigating the Ancient Past’ at the Chau Chak Wing Museum at the University of Sydney. Students will be given a tour of the exhibits, including explanations about the archaeological methods used and the ethics of displaying items in a museum. Students will also participate in an object based learning activity where they will be able to practice their source analysis skills on items from the museum’s collection.

Cost:  $45.80

Venue:  Chau Chak Wing Museum 

Transport:  Students will travel to and from the venue via chartered bus.

Dress Code:  Full school uniform.

Food:  Students must provide their own food and water as there will be no opportunities to purchase food.

Students are to Bring:  A clipboard. A pen or pencil and a notebook. A small backpack.
