UOW Business and Nursing Day 2024

The Business & Nursing Taster Day provides an opportunity for current Year 12 students from the Sutherland Shire to experience a morning as a university student with UOW Sutherland, specifically looking at study options and careers in Business or Nursing.

Students will be split into Nursing or Business groups based on their interest.

Nursing students will take part in an activity in the Nursing Clinical Simulation Lab, hear about nursing careers and learn about the different study paths to becoming an enrolled nurse versus a registered nurse.

In the business session, students will be working with a Business academic to understand where a Business degree can take them. Students will do some fun activities to get them thinking about working in business and will also get the perspective of current Business students undertaking a degree.

It will be held at UOW Southern Sydney Campus at Loftus.

Venue:  UOW Southern Sydney Loftus Campus (1 Pitt St, Loftus NSW 2232)

Transport:  Parents will need to make arrangements for their child to and from the venue.

Students will return to Kirrawee High School and attend their regular classes.

Dress Code:  Full school uniform.

Food:  Students must provide their own food and water as there will be no opportunities to purchase food.

Students are to Bring:  A pen or pencil and a notebook.
