Transport: Students will walk to and from the venue under teacher supervision. Students will be catching public transport to and from the venue. Students require a Child/Youth Opal card. (not the School Opal card) They will be accompanied by a staff member. Face masks are strongly recommended on public transport.
Cost: $29.70
Students are to bring: A pen or pencil and a notebook. Opal Card - a valid Personal (not school) Opal Card preloaded with a minimum of $10 credit.
Dress Code: Full school uniform, shoes must cover the entire foot and long hair must be tied back.
Food: Students are to bring their own water. Food is available for purchase or students can bring their own.
In this workshop, students will use spectroscopic techniques to identify an unknown substance.
Students will participate in IR Spectroscopy and UV-VIS Spectrophotometry and watch demonstrations of NMR Spectroscopy and AAS.
Students must make a genuine effort to catch up on any school work missed as a result of attending this excursion.
