Science has organised an excursion for Year 9 Marine Studies, as part of the core 1 and oceans and ecosystems topics. Students will take part in a range of activities including recognising rips, look at trophic relationships and some mock rescue techniques. There will be water activities which students will participate in small groups, as per Dept. of Education water activities student to teacher ratios. All students have successfully completed swim competency.
Cost: Nil students are to purchase an Opal ticket or use an Opal card for train to and from Cronulla
When: Wednesday 22nd March 2023
Where: Gunnamatta Bay Cronulla
Time: Students are to meet at school at 8.50am then walk to Kirrawee Train Station. They will return to Kirrawee Train Station by 3pm and dismissed by their Teacher.
Students are required to purchase an opal ticket or use an opal card.
Sports uniform must be worn with enclosed footwear, students are to bring swimwear, towel, sunscreen and hat and pen to write with.
Lunch and plenty of water must be brought with students as there are no facilities.
Please give permission for this excursion via Sentral by Monday 20th March 2023.
