UOW Discovery Day 2024

Date/Time:  Monday 12 February 2024 7:40am - 3:45pm (Travel time varies, so a later finish than the normal school day is to be expected.)

Description:  Students in Year 12 have the opportunity to experience a day in the life of a University Student at the University of Wollongong.

This excursion allows students to choose lectures and discussion groups that help bring understanding of University contents, expectations, workload and what future pathways area available in the Tertiary education sector.

Venue:  UOW University of Wollongong (Northfields Avenue, Wollongong NSW 2522)

Transport:  Students will travel to and from the venue via chartered bus.

Dress Code:  Full school uniform.

Food:  Food is available for purchase or students can bring their own.

Students are to Bring:  A pen or pencil and a notebook. Hand sanitiser and tissues. Mobile phone - a fully charged mobile phone in case of early/late finished or emergencies.

Educational Outcomes:  Students will be able to make better informed decisions about their future pathways and see if the tertiary courses they are thinking of pursuing are in fact something that they can see themselves completing and then pursuing a career in.UOW University of Wollongong.
