Science in the House

Science in the House is an initiative of the Science Teachers Association of NSW, aiming to celebrate and showcase science education initiatives across the state. As part of Science in the House, MPs are being invited to explore each of the stalls and meet the teachers and students inspiring future generations.

The event will include formalities at 1.30pm by the Minister for Education, the Hon. Sarah Mitchell, Shadow Minister for Education, Ms Prue Car, and Dr Jaclyn Aldenhoven, Office of the NSW Chief Scientist.

 

Venue: NSW Parliament House

Transport: Train

Time: Leave Kirrawee Station at 9:00 am sharp. Return by 4pm

Cost: $5 return train fare to be paid for by Opal card

Supervising Teacher:  Cherie Donohoe

What to bring/Equipment Required: Work as discussed with the teacher

What to wear: Full school uniform

 

Students must make a genuine effort to catch up any school work missed as a result of attending this excursion.
