Sutherland Dance Festival 2022 - Junior Dance Company

Aim/Reason for Excursion: Technical Rehearsal and Performance for the Sutherland Dance Festival

Venue: Hurstville Entertainment Centre - 16 MacMahon St, Hurstville NSW 2220.              

Transport: Students will need to meet Mrs Cherrie and Ms Kokori at the gate near the library at 12:30pm. We will walk to Kirrawee Train Station where we will then catch the Train to Hurstville. When we arrive we will then walk to Hurstville Entertainment Centre. The rehearsal will take place between 2:10pm and 2:50pm. Between the show and the rehearsal student will be supervised by Mrs Cherrie. We may head to Hurstville Westfields for students to grab some dinner and refreshments. The Junior Dance Company - 'Power of Support" will be performing in the 6:15pm. At the end of their performance students are to make their own way home. Junior Dance Company will be finished at 7:15pm and can be picked up at the front of the venue.

Time: Junior Dance Company 12:30pm - 7:15pm   

Cost:  Students will need their OPAL card to purchase the train tickets         

Supervising Teachers: C Cherrie and K Kokori

What to bring/Equipment Required: Equipment for period 1 - 3, costume, hair and makeup equipment, warm jacket or jumper and food and water.

What to wear:    Full school uniform and correct shoes

Return to class instructions (if excursion is not for a whole day): We won't be returning to school. Pick up from the venue at the completion of the performance

Students must make a genuine effort to catch up any school work missed as a result of attending this excursion.

I acknowledge that this event/activity is required to be held in accordance with any current NSW Health COVID-19 Public Health Orders and the NSW Department of Education's policies and procedures. I acknowledge and accept that there is a risk that my child may be exposed to COVID-19 whilst attending and participating at this event. 

I confirm that my child will not attend if displaying any symptoms of illness, and/or if directed to isolate under public health orders.
