Year 7 Geography Excursion (Bundeena to Bonnie Vale) Semester 2, 2025

Year 7 Geography Fieldwork trip for the topic "Place and Liveability" in the Royal National Park. Students will engage in an immersive activity comparing Bundeena and Bonnie Vale, exploring the key features that contribute to their liveability. They will also undertake fieldwork activities such as conducting surveys, interactive mapping and water quality testing.

Students must arrive at school in full sports uniform at 8:30a.m. Buses will leave from Kirrawee High School at 9a.m. for arrival at Bundeena by no later than 10:00a.m. The excursion will run for approximately 4 hours with students returning to school by 2:30p.m.

Students will arrive at Bundeena at approximately 9:45 where they will have a short recess. There are no venues to purchase food so all food and drink must be brought with you for morning tea. After recess, students will be taken on guided tours around Bundeena to assess the liveability of the area. After the tour is complete, students will be transported via bus to Bonnie Vale Campground where they will have lunch. Again, there are no venues to purchase food, so students must bring food and drinks. Students should also bring sunscreen or wet weather protection if the forecast is rain.

At approximately 2:00 p.m., students will leave Bonnie Vale and transported back to school via bus. Students will be dismissed from school at 3:00p.m.

The cost of the excursion will be payable no later than 13th of August.
