Careers
Students at Kirrawee High School will be entering into an employment market that will be vastly different to the one of today. Careers education at Kirrawee High School, in conjunction with the excellent work of our talented teaching staff, focuses on equipping our students with the necessary skills to not only be successful in their chosen career path, but also provide them with ability to be agile in the ever-changing career landscape.
Classroom Career Education begins in Year 10 with areas covered including job exploration, personal interest and research on careers and training that includes HSC subjects needed to undertake courses, scholarship identification and course locations.
The World Economic Forum has identified the following skills as the Top 10 for 2025 that our students will need to develop and demonstrate in their future careers.
These are skills that are built into all aspects of our students learning at Kirrawee High School.
At Kirrawee High School we encourage students to make first contact. Our Careers Advisor is location in the Library block, students in Year 9 and above are free to approach for advice on subject selections, pathways and future career planning.
If parents also feel they would like to speak with the Careers Advisor, they can contact by calling reception (Ph: 9521 2099) or emailing the school (kirrawee-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au) with attention to the Careers Advisor.
