Neurodiverse Student Lunchtime Club!

1

Hello KHS,

My name is Jackson and I'm a Year 8 student. Today, I am thrilled to introduce an exciting new initiative that I believe will make a positive impact on our school community – the Neurodiverse Student Lunchtime Club!

Starting Wednesday Week 2, we will be meeting in the D19 during lunchtime. Our wonderful team of supportive teachers and support staff, Ms. Mitchell, Mr. De Cruz, and Mr. Bonny, will be there to help create a welcoming and inclusive space for all of us.

You might be wondering, "What is neurodiversity?" Well, neurodiversity recognizes that each of us has a unique brain and way of thinking. It celebrates our differences and encourages us to embrace and support one another. Whether you identify as neurodiverse or just want to be a friend and ally, this club is for YOU!

Here's what you can expect from our club:

Friendship and Connection: It's a place to meet new friends who understand and appreciate you for who you are. We encourage open conversations, sharing experiences, and building lasting friendships.

Fun and Games: We'll have a variety of games and activities to enjoy together. Whether you're into board games, puzzles, or just chatting, there's something for everyone.

Support and Understanding: If you ever need someone to talk to or seek advice, our club is a safe space where you can share your thoughts and feelings. We're here to support each other through the ups and downs of school life.

Learning Together: We'll also explore topics related to neurodiversity, share resources, and learn from one another's experiences. This club is an opportunity for personal growth and education.

Most importantly, this club is YOURS. It's a place where your voice matters, your ideas are valued, and your presence is celebrated.

So, whether you're neurodiverse, a friend, or just curious, we invite you to join us on Wednesdays in the D19. Let's make this a vibrant and welcoming club where everyone feels accepted and appreciated.

Remember, our differences make us unique, and together, we can make our school community even stronger.

See you there!
