Step 2 KHS Non-Local Application - Non Local Students ONLY

Kirrawee High School Year 7 2027 Non Local Application Form

An out of area applicant lives outside the drawing area for the school. School finder on the Department of Education website allows you to find your local school based on your address. Click here to check the local high school for your address.

Recently NSW Education introduced a 'cap' to limit the number of students each school is allowed to enrol. Kirrawee's cap has not impacted our enrolments allowing us to enrol the same quantity of students as previous years. Approximately a third of our students come from out of the area, so many places are available.

The KHS Non-Local application will handed out on the information night, is available on our school website and can be found here from Friday 27th February, 2026.

The KHS Non-Local Application is to be returned to Kirrawee High School by the Friday 13th March 2026.

Non-local section criteria:

Note: Compassionate circumstances must be significant and supported by evidence. Circumstances such as wanting to remain with friends or anxiety related solely to friends attending the school will not be considered valid compassionate grounds.

Step 3 - KHS Online Enrolment

Please do not complete this until offers have been issued by Kirrawee High School. Non-local applications submitted online before offers are released in May will be declined.

Kirrawee High School will send the link to enrol to all successful applicants during Term 2. Families will receive the information by email once placements have been confirmed.

Step 4 - KHS Enrichment Test

If you wish for your child to be considered for KHS's Year 7 2027 Enrichment Class, they will be required to sit an examination at Kirrawee High School on Thursday the 7th of May at 2pm.

Students who are placed in the top 30 after an analysis of this assessment data will be offered a place in the Enrichment Class. A waitlist for places will be created and offers given as places become available.
